Interests

Atypical/at-risk student populations (including adult, vocational, and exceptional students) instructional competency development with evaluation to determine impact of programs in life-after-school; transitional strategies; dropout intervention research, community sustainability, health education issues; instructional modules, evaluation and assessment.  
Applications of organizational communication in work, training, educational and community settings. Interpersonal interactions that focus on gender differences, organizational position/rank, international and cross-cultural differences. Areas that focus in on frames of reference between those attempting to communicate.
System planning and management, needs assessment, development of communication between technocrats and the public, especially regarding educational, training and awareness issues, societal impact of programs – organizational communication and management, instructional validity, policy analysis, and applied research.  
Development and production of communicative presentations in multiple media which enable broad and diverse audiences to understand and integrate information into their knowledge base.  Such presentations may be in kiosk, CD-ROM, CDi, website or other media formats.  This includes edutainment and infomercials as well.
